A Speakeasy elopement
Its finally time to showoff our amazing styled elopement dated back in late August! BACKGROUND: Our couple Trevor and Alisha met five yours previously at a Speakeasy based out of Seattle, they had an instant connection and haven't look back since! Fast forward, and now with two "fur babies" they have decided to tie the knot with a theme that brought them together :)
Yes this is a made up story although Trevor and Alisha are much in love in real time!
I knew that I wanted to create a story that brought the attention away from the stereotypical wedding theme. I wanted it to be dark and moody, yet romantic. A little masculine but so much beauty. Block 41 (downtown Seattle wedding venue) brought just those vibes! When I first walked into the venue to speak to the ever to fabulous Jordan, I was taken back by the enormous cascading chandelier. The stairs that turn into a wood ramp in which are set underneath the chandelier are in fact from the 1920's!
I took this as a sign and my entire vision was coming to life. I wanted the story to not have the typical dinner setting but a classic hors d'oeuvres and whiskey happy hour. Meat and cheese was on the menu as well as a macaron tower accented with roses.
A candle lit ceremony and yes only the dogs were allowed set a mood that was more than desirable, we couldn't pass up the perfect golden hour on the late summer evening.
Lets talk about Alisha's dress; not only was the bead work absolutely on point but it to fit the theme of a Speakeasy love affair. We found the dress at Brides for a cause in Seattle. The designer is BHLDN.
Trevor is wearing Express Men all the way down to his socks, which yes indeed are purple with polka dots that tie in Alisha's bouquet.
